The Wantage and Grove Angling Club was established in 1961 with a straight forward approach to providing angling for the local community. It aims to improve the image of angling for all those interested in the sport as participants or observers.

Providing guidance to new anglers and established anglers alike. Looking to improve the environment both directly and indirectly through education and action.

Membership is limited to 200 adult and 25 junior members. This is both for insurance purposes and to ensure that members will be able to find a swim at the time of their choosing.

The committee is drawn from members who live within a 3 mile radius of The Volunteer Pub.

The club holds monthly metings on the first Tuesday of each month in the upstairs room of the King Alfred's Head in Wantage town square. Meetings start at 8pm and all members are welcome.
